Finding a Job

There are a lot of job sites out there, and the landscape of what is “best” is always changing. What role is best for you is going to depend on what you are looking for in a role. The best resources I have found for job hunting are listed below. Never underestimate the power of building a network and leveraging it.

• LinkedIn may be the most obvious, but it is a very powerful tool for finding a new role. If you are looking for a remote job, search for jobs across the United States. When you have established a working relationship with someone, connect. When a coworker changes jobs, follow the company on LinkedIn and never be afraid to ask for a referral.
• Glassdoor
• Wellfound/Angelist for start ups. They don’t list a lot of executive assistant jobs as it’s primarily tech roles, but it’s worth keeping an eye on.
• BuiltIn.com for tech roles
• IAAP
• Powertofly.com for women and minorities
• Google Jobs
